Wholesale sugar prices see Rs 2 per Kg Surge after the budget

After the proposal of federal Budget 2019-20 by Imran Khan’s government, the rates of sugar have gone up by Rs. 2 per kg.

The government suggested an increase by Rs. 3.60 per kg following which, the sugar mill owners hiked up the price of a 100kg bag by an amount of Rs.200.

According to a wholesale market dealer “ A 100kg sugar bag is now being sold for Rs 6,800.”

With the latest hike of Rs.2 per kg, the sugar price has now been fixed at Rs.68 per kg in the wholesale market.
